DPS police officers injured in accident

Two Detroit Public Schools police officers were injured in an accident on Monday morning.

According to police, it happened at Greenfield and Eaton on the city's west side. Police say an SUV with two men and a woman inside rear-ended them and sent the SUV spinning into a nearby lot.

Police say the two men ran away, leaving the woman behind. She was taken to the hospital.

We're told the officers are injured, but were responsive and conscious and taken to the hospital. DPS said the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
