A grandson is being credited with saving the life of his 100-year-old grandmother after a fire at a home on Detroit's west side.
Firefighters worked tirelessly to put out the flames and smoke at Elenora Barnes' home along Elmhurst.
The fire broke out around 7:30 a.m. and when it did, Elenora's grandson helped get her out safely.
"He saved my life," she said. "If he hadn't been here I don't know what would have happened because I can't walk well anymore."
Family members are hoping someone can help them as Elenora lost everything in the fire.
The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money.
