Michigan State Police say a man was killed early Sunday morning while he was running on the Southfield Freeway.
According to police, troopers arrived and saw a group of people standing near the median wall on Southfield near Schoolcraft around 3:18 a.m.
Police say troopers also say a 30-year-old man running across the southbound lanes of the freeway when a car hit him in the middle lane. He was pronounced dead on scene.
The freeway was closed for around four hours while they investigated the crash. The driver who hit the man did stop and is cooperating with police.
