Detroit police are investigating a fatal double shooting on the city's west side.
It happened around 6:10 p.m. int the area of Schoolcraft and Rutherford.
Police say a 40-year-old African American man and a 20-year-old African American woman were shot. The 40-year-old was fatally wounded and pronounced dead at the scene..
Officers say he was found at Schoolcraft and Rutherford. The woman, whose condition isn't known, was found a block away.
The woman was taken to Grace Hospital and is being treated.
