On the same day that charges were dropped against DeAngelo Davis in the death of Wayne State University Sgt. Collin Rose, police conducted a major police sweep across Detroit looking for suspects on outstanding warrants.
It's called Operation Restore Order, where several agencies came together to arrest suspects on outstanding warrants.
They're asking them questions about all sorts of crimes, from auto theft to possibly the murder of Sgt. Rose.
The sweep lasted for hours as officers who suited up went to areas near the school's campus.
Davis has since been released from jail.
Sources tell 7 Action News forensic evidence didn't match the bike and gloves found at the scene, and that's when police knew they had the wrong guy, and had to let Davis go.
A news conference led by the Wayne County Prosecutor was held Wednesday with authorities only giving brief statements.
The investigation is ongoing, and now there's a $15,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the shooter.
