Sharonda Benson, 23, and a 22-year-old relative, both suspected in the murder of a young child, have reportedly been released from police custody, according to the family of little Chanell Berry.
The seven-year-old was shot and killed in her family's home on Steel Street Sunday night.
Ellen Garjo, 8, was also shot, but she is expected to survive.
Police say Benson turned herself in the morning after the deadly shooting. Her relative, an alleged accomplice, was arrested later Monday morning.
On Tuesday, Detroit Police presented a warrant request to prosecutors, but we're told it was returned for more investigation.
