"They grabbed my girl by her shoulders and told her to get on the ground and, if we looked at them in their faces, they were going to shoot us," said one of the victim's of an early morning home invasion in the area of Puritan and Linwood Wednesday.
The couple was startled around around 2:00 a.m. when three masked men forced their way in and yelled "police."
But the victims quickly realized the men weren't police and they were getting robbed.
One of the victims told 7 Action News that it appeared the intruders had the wrong house because they were demanding the cash as if they thought they had a lot of it.
One of the armed robbers fired several shots in the house before the trio fled with about $20, a television, and the keys to a Dodger Charger that belonged to one of the victims. That Charger was then also stolen.
The man and his girlfriend were not harmed.
Anyone with any information is urged to call the Detroit Police 12th Precinct.
