The District Detroit is now just shy of two years from being complete, and Olympia Development said they are on budget and on time.
The mass excavation is now complete, and crews are working on pouring 47,000 cubic yards of concrete for the foundation and walls of the new arena.
It will be covered in a glass concourse offering visitors a year-round shopping and dining experience.
