A federal judge is considering cutting the restitution former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick owes the city of Detroit.

Kilpatrick was originally sentenced to pay $4.5 million, but that has already been cut to $1.6 million, after a previous appeal.

Now, the federal government is moving to cut Kilpatrick's restitution by more than $116,000. They argue that Kilpatrick was ordered to pay restitution on a contract for a sewer repair job.

However, they say ordering that contract to the restitution did not take into account that the city had to pay that amount to a contractor to fix the sewer.

We're wondering what you think. Should Kwame Kilpatrick's restituation be cut?
