Twenty-six-year-old Myah Batts faced a judge on felony charges in connection to a deadly crash on Detroit's east side.

On Tuesday, police say Batts was racing to get away from another accident she caused, when she blew through a stop sign and hit FedEx driver Rodrick Motley. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

In court on Friday, Batts was given a $500,000 bond.

The charges against her include 2nd degree murder and OWI causing death. Investigators say she had been driving on a suspended license and has a long history of driving violations.

Gabrielle Olaira is Motley's niece. She said, "I have no remorse for her. I pray she gets everything she deserves."

"She took something away from us. It's something I can never get over," says Nina Forney, Rodrick's cousin.
