Warning issued after coyotes kill two small dogs

Posted

Ann and Robert Klee let their dog, Bella, outside last night before bed, never imagining the danger she would be in just yards away from their back door.

"Oh my God. They got her," Robert yelled to his wife.

Two coyotes were in the backyard of their Shelby Township home, and one of the coyotes had little Bella in its mouth.

The coyotes took off with Bella. Robert jumped in his truck to try to stop them, but it was too late.

Shelby Township Police officers were able to track the coyotes in the snow. They found Bella's deceased body by a tree.

The Klees are now hoping their tragic loss will serve as a warning to other pet owners to be cautious.
