7 Action News has an update to a heartwarming story we first told you about a few weeks ago.
Clinton Township firefighter Ryan McCuen made national headlines after he paid a $1,000 power bill to a struggling family, the Stone family.
Two of the 5 children, Troy and Tyler, have muscular dystrophy. Troy is on a ventilator.
After our story on Ryan aired, so many 7 Action News viewers reached out to help the Stone family. Among them, Paul Olivieri of Lakepointe Electric in Shelby Township.
Today, Olivieri donated a generator and the installation to the Stone family. He and his wife were inspired to do something to help the Stone's after they saw the Channel 7 story on Ryan McCuen.
7 Action News was at the Stone house today as they got the generator.
"It means peace of mind. I don't have to worry anymore. Thank you to everyone," says Troy's mom, Christy.
"It's great. I'm proud and excited to see the smiles on their faces," says Olivieri.
