Today is National Manufacturing Day and Macomb County is going all out for a celebration.
This year, 44 manufacturing sites across the county are making it possible for about 1,800 students to get an up close look at the industry.
County Executive Mark Hackel got in on the fun. He joined students from Lincoln High School as they took a tour of Futuramic Tool & Engineering in Warren.
Manufacturing Day is designed to create awareness of the industry and to highlight the interesting and well paying jobs it provides.
