A Pontiac man is behind bars after investigators say he shot a gun inside an apartment while he was babysitting three young kids.
A seven-year-old girl called 911 after her mother's boyfriend fired his gun inside an apartment with a one and two year old also inside.
I tall went down early Sunday morning on Cherry Hill Drive in Pontiac.
Three siblings were home, the seven-year-old, and her two brothers.
The man was watching the kids, while their mother was away.
Investigators say one of the kids saw a gun in his waistband and asked the 22-year-old about it.
They say he pulled out the gun, said it wasn't real, and fired a bullet into the floor.
Thankfully, no one was hurt.
Investigators say the boyfriend got rid of the gun, but they were able to find bullet fragments.
The 22-year-old was arrested, and is facing several charges, including child endangerment and reckless discharge of a firearm.
