A Beverly Hills mother has been sentenced to jail time after driving more than four times the legal limit with her child in the back seat.

Holly Sidell, 33, was quiet as she stood before Judge Martha Anderson in Oakland County Circuit Court.

She is now convicted of a list of crimes, including Operating While Intoxicated With Occupant Under 16 - Second Offense, and Operating License Suspended, Revoked, Denied.

The incident happened in November when she was driving drunk with her 4-year-old son in the back seat. Milford Police found her driving her black Jeep all over the road.

7 Action News had obtained police dash cam video of the incident.

Sidell can be seen stumbling and blaming her shoes when police can be seen asking asked her to stand on one leg.

She was caught on camera telling Milford officers she had a suspended license and police found Red Bull with alcohol inside. According to officers she smelled like alcohol.

“To have your 4-year-old child in the car with you is completely unforgivable and inexcusable,” said Judge Anderson at Sidell’s sentencing.

At her sentencing, the probation department asked that Sidell, a repeat offender, get only two years probation and 30 days of house arrest - something the prosecution was not happy about.

The prosecutor told the court she was shocked and said the recommendation were extremely generous. Judge Anderson agreed. Sidell will be spending 90 days in jai.

After serving jail time, she must attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, complete 60 days of community service, and complete weekly drug and alcohol testing.

She told the judge she was remorseful for her actions.

“I’m more than sorry and I’m just happy to be sober - for me and my son.”
