Northland Mall closed in March 2015 and now a lot of families are missing it because it was the only place where minority children could see a black Santa Claus.

But, this weekend they'll have another chance.

Blac Magazine and AT&T have partnered together to bring black Santa back to metro Detroit on Saturday and Sunday.

“We had one mom send us a message saying thank you for reading the minds of every mom in the Detroit area for putting this on,” says Aaron Foley, Blac Magazine editor.

Photos are free because you take them yourself.

"We’re kind of thinking selfies with Santa, because when people buy the pictures, they’re taking their own. Take your own pictures that’s what people are doing these days,” says Teresa Mask of AT&T.
