A Pontiac man was arrested after he allegedly fired his gun into the floor, prompting a child inside the home to call 911.
Listen to the 911 call above.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, a 7-year-old girl and her two younger brothers, ages 1 and 2, were left in the care of the suspect, who is their mother's boyfriend.
According to the child, one of her younger brothers saw a gun in the man's waistband and asked if it was real.
That's when the suspect pulled out the gun, racked it, and fired a bullet in the living room floor.
When deputies arrived, they weren't able to find the gun but did find where the bullet went into the floor and found bullet fragments and a shell casing.
The mother returned to the scene to take the children, while the suspect was arrested. Deputies say the suspect told them he threw the gun in the sewer.
