In March, Emagine's Paul Glantz said he wanted to make his newest movie theater in Birmingham the, "crown jewel" of movie-going experiences in Michigan.
On Friday, that crown jewel opened to the public.
With an elevator to take moviegoers directly from the street entrance to the fourth floor complex, visitors can now take in the Ironwood Grill, with a full-service bar stocked ith local brews.
The theater on North Old Woodward went from 2,500 seats on 12 screens to five screens with a capacity of 540. Each seat is a power recliner.
