SMART is getting into the holiday spirit by giving away free passes starting today.
SMART's Holiday Team will be in Oakland County today to surprise passengers waiting for the bus with a 31-day bus pass.
The passes are worth $66 each.
On Wednesday, the Holiday Team will be giving away free passes in Wayne County. Thursday, the team will surprise passengers in Macomb County.
In all, SMART plans to giveaway 1,000 bus passes.
