The family of a person of interest in a high profile Romulus rape case is telling the story of what they believe happened on June 20th.

Romulus Police are calling 44-year-old Dwuan Parkman a person of interest in the rape of an 18-year-old Air Georgian flight attendant.

Parkman's family tells us that it is him in surveillance video released by police, showing a man rifling through information at the front desk. They claim he was checking to see if a family member - rumored to be an escort at an airport hotel -  was there.

They do admit he was at the same restaurant as the flight attendant and her co-workers, and saw her there. But they claim there was another group of men who went upstairs with them.

Parkman is wanted on a probation violation for assaulting a police officer. We're told the warrant was signed two days after the rape.

One family member tells us, "I think she got drunk and changed her mind. I know it's not true."

If you know where Parkman is, call Romulus Police.
