A new K-9 team is coming to the Harper Woods Police Department.
Officer Steve Johnson and his K-9 partner "Kaiser" have completed their extensive training and will be officially sworn in during a city council meeting that starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The new K-9 team will help track suspects, locate lost children and conduct narcotic searches.
Harper Woods' K-9 unit is completely privately funded.
