TAYLOR, Mich. (WXYZ) — Taylor police are investigating a fatal stabbing at a graduation party over the weekend.

It happened at the All Saints banquet hall on Brest Road Saturday night. A 17-year-old was stabbed to death and three others were hospitalized for their injuries.

"I can’t remember a case that was anything like this in recent memory," said Karl Ziomek with the City of Taylor.

The banquet hall's management said the party was relatively small for a graduation celebration; around 30 people. Prior to getting a call from police after the stabbing, they said it appeared to be a calm gathering.

“It was a very intense and fast fight between two individuals," said Justin Mordarski, the All Saints Board of Directors CFO.

Much of the chaos was caught on camera.

“Every time you have a large fight like this, many times all you’re seeing is a bunch of personal recording devices go up. And many of the people there, if they weren’t fighting, they were recording," said Ziomek.

The suspect reportedly took to social media after the incident, appearing to brag about his alleged crimes in a video posted to Facebook.

Sunday, Taylor police arrested two people in Southgate in connection to the stabbing. One of the suspects is a 16-year-old juvenile. It's unclear if they will be treated as an adult under the law; something likely to be discussed when the case returns to court July 12.

The 16-year-old is in custody at the Wayne County Juvenile Detention Facility.

It's still unclear what led up to the stabbing.
