Wyandotte Police are searching for two men suspected of being involved in the passing of counterfeit cash.

The men used a fake 20 dollar bill on September 11 at a gas station located on Biddle Avenue near North Drive.

At that time they arrived in a smaller burgundy, four-door Honda.

"The owner of the store took the money to the bank and discovered that 20 dollar bill was counterfeit. It was fake," said Wyandotte Police Chief Brian Zalewski.

Zalewski said the business owner then told his employees to be alert and they were because when the two men returned to the store later the same day, the clerk spotted the fake cash, told the men that it was counterfeit and they left.

That second time the men were dressed differently and surveillance cameras showed them leaving in a white, four-door Chevy Cruze.

The license plate on that vehicle was missing.

One suspect is described as a black man in his twenties, last seen wearing a white bandana with black markings, a black shirt and pants, and white gym shoes. He had long braided hair and several tattoos on his arm.

The second suspect is described as a black man, also in his twenties, and he was last seen wearing a black and red Chicago Bulls ball cap, a black shirt with red and yellow printing and a "Minion" cartoon on it. He wore blue and white jeans with black and red Nike open toe sandals.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Wyandotte Police at 734-324-4405.
