After months of free rides from Detroit's New Center to downtown and back, riders on the QLINE must now pay fares.

Beginning Tuesday, anyone riding the QLINE will have to pay $1.50 for a three-hour pass or $3 for an all-day pass.

There are some other options if you want to hop on the street car heading down Woodward from Grand Blvd. to Congress, including monthly and yearly options.

A one month pass will cost you $30 and a yearly pass $112 to get through the end of 2017. Both offer unlimited rides.

You can use a debit or credit card at any QLINE station to pay for your fare, but if you want to pay cash, those fares can be paid on the QLINE.
