November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, and this weekend the Sky Foundation will host its 9th annual lunch to support pancreatic cancer research.

The foundation is based in Michigan, and this annual lunch is its biggest fundraiser of the year.

Those interested in attending should mark their calendars for Sunday, Nov. 5 from noon until 3 p.m.  It will be held at the MGM Grand Hotel in Detroit.

There will be live entertainment, plus a silent and live auction featuring a pledge which will be matched up to $100,000.

To purchase tickets for the lunch benefit, head to Sky Foundation's website.

The Sky Foundation is dedicated to help people better understand pancreatic cancer and to find ways to improve early detection. It is led by 10-year pancreatic cancer survivor, Sheila Sky Kasselmann.

To date, The Sky Foundation has raised more than $1.5 million, which has been donated to a variety of researchers across the country.  It has now set a goal of reaching $2 million in fundraising by the end of 2017.
