One of the sons of U.S. Representative John Conyers has been reported missing in Texas.
Police in Houston, Texas say that 21-year-old Carl Conyers has been missing since Tuesday afternoon. Officers say that Carl was last seen by his roommate at their apartment.
"It's just strange that he went missing," his mother, Monica Conyers said.
Carl's roommate, Chet Ball, said he hadn't seen or heard from Carl on Wednesday morning and noticed the door to Carl's bedroom was locked. Because he was concerned, we're told Ball broke in and realized Carl was gone, but the night before he thought he was fine.
A spokesperson for Rep. John Conyers said that he and Monica learned of Carl's disappearance on Thursday and that they ask for privacy as they work through uncertainty.
"If you know anything about Carl, if you've seen him, think you saw him, just call" Monica said. "We were told he shaved his mustache, I don't know if he did or not but when I saw him a week ago he had a full beard, and when I talked to him he didn't mention to me about shaving it off.
"Just whoever if you have Carl, just let him come home. I just want my son back," she said.
