DETROIT (WXYZ) — Authorities are investigating after a suspect fired shots at federal agents in a Detroit neighborhood Monday afternoon.

According to Detroit police, the incident happened at 2:15 p.m. between two locations, in the 15000 block of Mayfield and 11000 block of Rossini.

A black male suspect entered a vehicle on Mayfield and was armed with a weapon. Around the same time, agents were doing unrelated surveillance in the area of Rossini.

Police say the suspect drove down Rossini, where the federal agents were located, and fired shots. None of the agents were struck and the agents did not fire back.

The suspect then fled in the vehicle, however, at some point four suspects were detained in connection to the shooting.

This is an ongoing investigation.
