Team Free to Breathe, a partnership for lung cancer survival, is hosting their annual leadership summit in Minneapolis.
Last year, Gracie, an 11-year survivor of lung cancer, rode her motorcycle to the summit to raise money. That’s a 1,500-1,700 mile ride. She’s doing it again this year.
Lung cancer has a 5-year survival rate that is less than 18%, something that motivates Gracie to keep raising money.
Last year, the FDA approved 5 new drugs for the treatment of lung cancer.
Breast cancer survival rates are an example of what research and awareness campaigns have accomplished.
