REDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — Wayne County prosecutors have charged a Redford teen in connection with an accosting of an infant boy.
On April 17 around 6:47 p.m., Redford Police responded to the area of Lola Street and Garfield regarding an incident in progress. At the scene, a police officer saw a stroller near a bridge. Police moved to investigate under the bridge, where 17-year-old Timothy Anthony-Gabouri Austin was allegedly accosting the 3-year-old boy.
Prosecutors say Austin had also allegedly removed some of his clothing while he was with the child.
He was arrested on site, and the child was taken to a local hospital for examination.
Austin will be charged as an adult since a 17-year-old is considered an adult under Michigan law.
Austin has been charged with accosting for indecent purposes and indecent exposure. He is expected to be arraigned on April 20.
