"They're trying to make me stronger, and help me remember the accident," says 14-year-old Samiah Bishop, who was recently released from the hospital where she'd been recovering since the night of Halloween when she was hit by two vehicles. The second vehicle dragged Samiah on its underside for two miles. That driver never stopped.

Samiah and her mother are now living in a hotel in Ann Arbor until they can find housing suitable for the teen who can no longer use the stairs or share a bed with her sister because of her injuries.

The family is thankful for donations to a GoFundMe account that they will now be used to pay rent at a new place until Samiah can return to school and her mother can return to work.

Samiah continues with therapy for speech, memory, and mobility.

Samiah believes she survived the impact of both vehicles and being dragged because of her great-grandmother who prayed for her just an hour before the hit and run driver left her for dead.
