Auburn Hills police are investigating after a toddler drowned over the weekend.
Police say a 16-month-old girl fell into a retention pond near N. Squirrel Road in the Oakland Estates mobile home park on Sunday.
The retention pond was close to a home, police say.
Detectives tell 7 Action News they were thankful for the assistance from medical personnel at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, but the girl unfortunately passed away.
