(WXYZ) — U.S. Postal Service will resume operations Friday, according to the company.

Services were suspended Wednesday and Thursday due to extreme cold across metro Detroit. Mail delivery, collections and pick-up services will resume Friday, Feb. 1 throughout the Detroit district. According to a release, that includes zip codes 480-485 and 492.

Additionally, all post offices will be fully operational Friday.

“As we resume delivery, we ask our customers to continue clearing sidewalks, paths and approaches to the mailboxes for the continued safety of our letter carriers,” said Detroit District Manager Karlett Gilbert. “We sincerely thank and appreciate the assistance, cooperation and concern from customers for our employees during this unprecedented time.”
