UTICA, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Utica Police Department is asking motorists to avoid Hall Road at Van Dyke and at M-53 because of power outages and downed power lines due to heavy winds.

Traffic lights are out in these areas due to three separate incidents.

DTE is currently working to restore power and removed the downed power lines. Police say it may be a while before the area is restored, so motorists should take an alternate route if possible.
