On Wednesday, the Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association announced that Michigan's mandatory fee to cover unlimited medical benefits for injured drivers will rise to $220 a year – it's currently $192 per year per insured vehicle.
Michigan is the only state to require unlimited lifetime coverage for medical expenses from auto crashes.
