The Obama administration is collaborating with several non-profit organizations to launch a new program to make diapers more affordable.

Under the program announced Thursday, low-income families will be able to purchase diapers for up to 25 percent cheaper than regular prices.

According to a White House blog post, one in three families struggles to afford diapers for their babies.

The new program aims to streamline the diaper packaging and shipping process to cut costs and allow nonprofits to buy diapers in bulk for lower prices online.

The nonprofits will then distribute the lower-cost diapers to families who have troubling buying them at full price in retail stores.

The program is expected to be up and running by the end of April.
