A woman said she was nearly kidnapped and sexually assaulted by a man Wednesday morning on Detroit's west side.
Pamela Willis said it happened right out in public in an area that she's known and is comfortable in, on Southfield Service Drive towards Chicago.
Willis said she was walking at 8:30 a.m. when someone in a white cargo van pulled up, blocked her and pointed a gun at her and told her he was going to kill her.
She said she was being held by the collar and pushed in, but she managed to get a single foot on the bottom of the van, pushing off and shoving him to the ground before she ran without looking back.
She said the driver was tall, towering over her 5 feet 4 inches, and the cargo van he was driving was white with a wooden board covering one of the windows.
