(WXYZ) — Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan are hitting the streets selling cookies with COVID-19 health precautions in mind.
Precautions include contact-free pickup and delivery orders through a new collaboration with Grubhub.
Girl Scouts will sell at limited walk up and drive-thru booths that will run from Feb. 19 through April 11. Consumers can find girls at the usual locations: grocery stores, mall kiosks, and other retail shops with plenty of PPE on hand.
Cookie lovers get their beloved treats and support Girl Scouts by purchasing in a few different ways:
- Customers who know a registered Girl Scout, reach out to her to find out how she’s selling cookies in ways that meet local and state safety protocols.
- Customers who don’t know a Girl Scout should visit www.gssem.org/findcookiesto find socially distant or contact-free nearby cookie booths in their area.
- Use the Girl Scout Cookie Finder at www.gssem.org/findcookiesto purchase from a local Girl Scout troop online for shipment to your door or to donate cookies to first responders and local causes.
- Order via contact-free delivery from Grubhub between Feb. 19 and March 5.
