DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit Tigers fans will soon be able to use just their finger to get into the ballpark with new ticketing technology.
CLEAR, an biometrics company, says fans will be able to enter ballparks with the tap of a finger instead of presenting a paper or mobile ticket.
The technology will be available later this month at Comerica Park.
It was first rolled out at airports, including Detroit Metro Airport, before expanding into sports stadiums. A pilot of biometric ticketing was completed with the New York Mets last season.
