Last season, Ohio State was the popular pick to win the Big Ten East division and get a spot in the college football playoff to defend it's national championship.
That is, until Mark Dantonio and the Spartans came into the Horseshoe and pulled off a 17-14 upset, after Michael Geiger nailed a 41-yard field goal as time expired.
Dantonio has had success that no other Big Ten coach has against Meyer, going 2-2 against him since he took over the Buckeyes.
He joins just three other head coaches, Nick Saban, Les Miles and Tommy Tubberville, to have ever beaten an Meyer coached college team.
Dantonio's roots are in Ohio, as are many of his players, so this game always means more to the Spartans.
This week, Dantonio talks about his Ohio roots, Meyers success, and his teams new-found confidence as the Spartans hope to play spoiler on Saturday,
