DETROIT (WXYZ) -- Five-time NBA champion Dennis Rodman, two-time American League championship manager Jim Leyland, and New York Times Bestselling author Mitch Albom are among the 2017 inductees into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame.

Other inductees include longtime Oakland University men's basketball coach Greg Kampe, former Michigan and NFL lineman Jon Jansen, former Michigan State quarterback turned NFL official Dean Look, former Michigan State and NFL wide receiver Andre Rison, and former Michigan and NBA guard turned ESPN analyst Jalen Rose.

The Class of 2017, announced Thursday night on FOX Sports Detroit, will be officially inducted during the Hall of Fame ceremony September 15 in Detroit.

In addition to the Hall of Fame inductees, the MSHOF will honor four "Michigan Treasures" for their contributions to Michigan sports:

-Dorene Ingalls – A four-sport athlete from the Upper Peninsula who has coached St. Ignace LaSalle High School to five State Champtions in girls’ basketball while confined to a wheelchair since 2005
-Michigan Panthers  - The 1983 United States Football League Champions 
-Dawn Riley – The Harrison Township native was the first woman to compete in the America’s Cup races
-Ryan Shay  - The Ypsilanti native won multiple distance running championships before passing away at the age of 28 during U.S. Olympic trials
