(WXYZ) — Baseball season is officially here! The Detroit Tigers open up the 2019 home Season on Thursday afternoon against the Kansas City Royals.

Spencer Turnbull will get the start for Detroit. He lost his first game of the season after giving up four hits and three runs against Toronto on March 30. He'll take on jakob Junis, who won his first start of the season.
