DPS students take field trip in racing, science and math

Every race car driver has a knack for speed, but without math or science knowledge to back it up, they're likely stuck in neutral.

That's why an event like the PNC "Grow Up Great" Education Day at the Palace of Auburn Hills is so important to the sport, as it potentially holds the next generation of driving enthusiasts. 

Dane Cameron and Eric Curran, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Cadillac Drivers, were on hand to help aid the students in their learning, while also having a little fun themselves. 

It's one of many events that the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix brings to the city as the race on Belle Isle is a month away.
