Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond says that even with the NBA rule changes regarding off-the-ball fouls, he is focused on improving his freethrow shooting before the season starts.
Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy says the rule changes won't actually change much about the 'Hack-a-Shaq' defensive strategy frequently employed against players like Drummond.
Van Gundy and Drummond agree that the focus is on improving Drummond's freethrow shooting regardless of what the league decides to do with the rules, and both of them seem confident it will be better come fall.
