Former Michigan State University punter Mike Sadler was among those killed in a car accident overnight in Wisconsin, according to the Lincoln Journal Star.
According to the paper, senior Nebraska punter Sam Foltz was also killed in the crash.
Sadler, who is from Grand Rapids, was the first four-time All-American player in Michigan State history, and was a two-time first-time Academic All American. He was headed to Stanford Law School, according to WLNS.
In January 2015, Sadler tweeted "One of the hardest things in life is walking away from the people & places that gave you so much. Thank you MSU! #3."
