The Detroit Red Wings will have one less free agent to worry about this off-season as Joakim Andersson has left the team to play in Sweden, according to Ansar Khan of MLive. According to MLive, he signed a two-year contract with Orebro.
The 27-year-old forward played only 29 games with the Red Wings after he cleared waivers and was sent to the Grand Rapids Griffins last season. He returned to the team just before the playoffs began.
In his five seasons with Detroit, Andersson played in 205 games, only scoring 15 goals with 21 assists with an average time on ice of 11:55.
