Metro Detroit Weather: Bright sun, slow warming

A cool, but dry weekend is ahead. It will be cooler than average until early next week, but it will stay dry.

Hurricane Irma is ravaging south Florida now. It will likely be a strong category 3 or category 4 storm throughout the day today, lashing Florida with destructive winds and storm surge and well as flooding rain and occasional tornadoes as it moves slowly northwest.
Today: Mostly sunny, just a bit warmer. Highs: 68-72 / Winds: E 5-10

Tonight: Clear, dry and still quite cool. Lows: 42-50 / Winds: Light

Monday: Sunny, a bit warmer. Highs: 72-76 / Winds: E 5-10

Tuesday: Lots of sunshine and pleasant. Highs: 74-78 / Winds: E 5-10
