It may be Detroit's best kept neighborhood secret. The Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation on Trumbull is a magnate for strong community partners on all levels. Their annual breakfast this week united a packed room with one main purpose in mind: citizens working together can change the world.
This year's keynote speaker was Tonya Allen, CEO of the Skillman Foundation. She delivered a powerful message about the importance of educating our youth. Also in attendance was DHDC Executive Director Angie Reyes, Detroit NAACP President Rev, Wendell Anthony and DHDC Chairman Frank Venegas of the Ideal Group.
