WXYZ DETROIT — Our station editorial remembering the contributions of the late auto executive Lee Iacocca prompted these viewer reactions. Debi Boyle Brown wrote:

I’ll always remember the comment that he sated, he would only accept $1 a year in wages until Chrysler (was) back. That attitude left an impression.”

Brenda Macherzak Fava and Rosa Vazquez simply said:

“Farewell sir! R.I.P.”

Our editorial about Michigan’s slow budget talk negotiations sparked a lot of reaction! Matthew Wiemer asked:

“Does the news ever research anything anymore? Seems to me you support increase after increase in the state’s budget. Since 2000, (Michigan’s) budget has increased $26 billion!"

Dwayne Radford declared:

“Should not get a new budget until an audit is honestly done.”

Vicki Hill said this about the Michigan Legislature:

“They shouldn’t have gone on vacation until they did their job.”

Maria Ross:

“Very sad for all those that are affected by this. So many educators and students just waiting, in limbo, for the budget to pass so they know if they are going to be headed to school in four weeks!”

Bobby Tesluck:

“Cut education.”

Robert White offered this thought until the budget is passed:

“Don’t pay the lawmakers.”

Dean Sokol:

“Cut welfare.”

Sean Hemphill:

“A lot of people on welfare work full time. Raise the minimum wage.”

Thanks for writing and watching.
