DETROIT (WXYZ) — The hit musical "Hamilton" is playing right now at The Fisher Theatre, and the creator of the musical, Lin-Manuel Miranda, made a surprise appearance at the show on Tuesday night.
During a Periscope video, Miranda hid at side-stage and put up a "shh" sign while members of the cast talked about the show about what they could get.
"You may have heard of this guy, Lin-Manuel Miranda," the cast member said while the audience applauded. "Well, Lin is not here."
"Yes I am!" Miranda responded quietly on the video. "What's up, Detroit?"
He then walked out on stage saying, "I'm here," to cheers from the audience and shocked faces from the cast. Check out the video below.
