Grover Norquist, the founder and president of Americans for Tax Reform, brought his crusade to Michigan this week. Accompanied by businessman Paul Mitchell, he took his message of reforming taxes and lobbying politicians to take the "no tax hike" pledge to a town hall meeting in Macomb County. Norquist also appears on this Sunday's Spotlight on the News program at 10 o'clock. on Channel 7.
The Harvard University trained anti-tax crusader is convinced that Washington politicians must prioritize federal program funding based on no more tax increases. And Norquist predicts the tax debate issue will take center stage in the race for president once the Republican and Democratic nominees are selected.
We'll see in November if his crusade has a strong impact on who is elected to serve on Washington, D.C.'s Capitol Hill
